TINRAD (Tulsi Immuno Nano Research and Development) was established in September 2020 with the objective of utilising biotechnology for human wellbeing, enhancing human health, and simultaneously conserve natural resources by encouraging sustainable development for the society.

Presently in India majority immuno and nano reagents, immunodiagnostic kits, enzyme used in diagnostics, and their substrate are imported. The goal of our startup, TINRAD is to produce all these reagents indigenously. This will reduce imports to the field significantly and reserve foreign exchange. Since the start-up is a Made in India concept, it will require local manpower and generate employment as well. The abovementioned reagents are thermo-labile, which means they require constant temperature maintenance at 2 to 8 degrees centigrade during storage and transportation, making them quite expensive. Also, if these reagents are not handled with adequate care at the given temperatures they lose their respective activities due to instability. TINRAD has found a way to tackle the indicated problems and also to further add value through proprietary reagents. Therefore at TINRAD, we aim to uplift the economy by producing these reagents not only in-house but with better efficiency via employing local resources.

Since TINRAD has made the aforementioned reagents indigenously, India’s dependence on foreign biotech companies will reduce significantly. Therefore prevent the drain of foreign reserves. The company is using local materials and manpower which will minimize the cost of introduced reagents and more importantly, generate employment. The previously told reagents will be provided to the masses with added value by using proprietary technology. They are cheaper and more stable than their imported alternatives that will enable the users to optimally utilize the resources and achieve greater results in the field.

As of now, we are funding on our own. But we will require further government aid as our gamut expands. We shall generate revenue via sales of our proprietary products. To increase sales, we shall effectively engage in digital marketing and advertising to help reach the consumers of our products.
