Coated Antibody Stabilizer And Blocking Solution

Product Characteristics

Coated antibody stabilizer and blocking solution is used for the stabilization of coated antibodies
and blocking of nonspecific binding sites of micro well surfaces. This solution prevents the loss of
binding activity of coated antibody, maintains the conformation of the antibody portion and blocks
nonspecific binding sites on solid surfaces. This enables the making of ready-to-use antibody coated
plates, minimizing assay errors in retaining antibody activity and increased signal to noise ratio that
improves assay performance.

Composition & Properties

This product is a ready to use and contains buffered saline, and proprietary reagents to stabilize,
preserve coated antibody binding activity and blocks nonspecific binding sites on solid surfaces.
Proclin 300 is used as preservative that is azide and mercury free. It is suitable for ELISA, Western
Blot, Southern/Northern Blots, and lateral flow.

Handling & Storage

Store solution at 2-8 °C. Avoid exposure to light.

Working Procedure

  1. The desired amount of ready to use coated antibody stabilizer and blocking solution is poured
into a container and allowed to reach room temperature.
  2. Add 50 to 100 µl of coated antibody stabilizer solution more than coated antibody volume per
micro titre well. Time to block nonspecific binding site is 60 minutes at room temperature.
  3. After blocking decant the content of micro well plate, dry the plate and keep in sealed pouch
    containing silica gel.

Stability Data

The efficacy of ready to use coated antibody stabilizer was verified by accelerated study that
included testing of the binding efficiency of polyclonal antibody by ELISA. The study was
conducted on medroxy-progesterone acetate (MPA) antibody coated micro plate. The result indicate
retaining of 99% of its activity after three months at 37°C as shown below.
